| Projects | Social Development Services: For individuals and families, to help them cope with the impact that a mental disability has on their lives Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR): Continuum of services for adults with severe psychiatric disability Rainbow Foundation Sixteen PSR community based groups that promote adjustment to community living Cape Consumer advocacy Body (CCAB): That consists of consumers lobbying and advocating for the rights of people with psychiatric disability Fountain House: Offers various vocational skills training units, income generation activities and Transitional Employment opportunities Four Special Care Centres: Provide a skills training and development day care programme for 180 children with severe intellectual disabilities Training Workshops Unlimited (TWU): Consists of five training workshops and a training school offering life skills and work skills training for adults with intellectual disability Staff Counselling Network: provides an employee assistance programme for the corporate and public sector that offers capacity building, stress management, trauma debriefing and on-site counselling Learning for Life: Offering a HWSETA accredited distance learning course to facilitate the optimal functioning of the client with intellectual disability Sexual Abuse Victim Empowerment (SAVE) programme for victims with intellectual disability that provides counselling, court preparation, psychological assessments, expert testimony, as well as training of detectives on interviewing techniques and communicating with witnesses with disabilities |
